Brian, Try Wiggins Pass in North Naples. You can find it on the internet. Jacks, Lady Fish and snook are abundant on either tide in the evening (If the wind and temp are right). You will only be allowed to fish until sunset and then you must leave. Have caught some nice Spanish Mackeral, snook and trout on the back end of the pass. Follow the beach up to the mangroves then wade in front of the mangroves up around the corner to the canal. Bring lots of skin-so-soft as the no-see-ums are nasty there. Another easy spot is Lover's Key about 15 minutes north of Naples. You can rent kayaks and canoes there and the canals have an assortment of fish. We have caught Jacks, Ladyfish and small grouper and have seen some big tarpon. You will also find manatees and alligators there. It's like a trip into wild kingdom. Last but not to be dismissed is the pier in downtown Naples. Lots of spanish mackeral, Kings, lady fish, pampano and snook. I hooked into a big bonito and had him on for all of five minutes before he broke me off. You will need to use spinning gear there and I suggest that you use a light wire leader. Everything there has lots of teeth or sharp gills and break you off. There are the ever present sharks too. Some people fish for them at night from the end of the pier with heavy equipment. They do quite well actually. Hope this helps. One last thing...you will need a fishing license. I think it costs about $17 for a week long one. You can get a license, some great tackle and good advice on tides etc from the local Ace Hardware stores. They have the absolute best selection of gear locally and if they like you, will send you to where you will have a shot at catching fish. If you want I can also recommend a guide out of Marco who does half and whole day trips. They are a little pricey but he can drop you right onto what you're looking for. Have a good time...It's a really nice place.
