Thanks John for asking the question and thanks everyone else for the advice. I'll definitely try these ideas at Ocean Mist, my new home beach. The main ingredient is probably believing that the stripers are right underfoot. I'm hoping that the one I caught right in the wash a couple of weeks ago, not on my flyrod, will make me be a believer.
