Yup, I do. But even so it does no one any harm to hear another view of things. I do call them "Rants," by the way.

Funny; you did not mention having to hear the clerks tell customers that their opinions is also a rant...
Have you ever gone out and told them that they are doing their customers a disservice by selling people on their opinions?

It goes like this.

A nine weight rod, a nine weight intermediate line and Clousers as the basic outfit. And casting lessons.
"That," is an opinion - nothing more - and it is a short sighted one.

Sorry: I think I will continue to rant away about the tradition and the history until the noise I am making gets heard.

It is getting heard by ordinary fishermen and they do appreciate it. It makes sense t some people.
You may not think so but an awful lot of people do.
"They," are the reason I continue to do it.
They want to know more than what they hear from the P.C. tackle shop clerks and the P.C. article re-writers in the media..

At least I have a fishing centered reason for my opinions. It is called having many options.
