Tuesday fishing this week was at Weekapaug, we went down on the beach. I noticed something that I wanted to point out. TOO MUCH LINE I noticed that many, when fishing the surf have too much line out. I noticed that once in a while I get like that too. Stripping basket or not it will be wrapped allaround your legs before you know it. look to the target area you want to present your fly. It needn't be that far. Have only that amount of line out. You will have an easy time mending, controlling your fly and line... In otherwords more fishing, less casting. once back, mend.
Pay attention asto what you have for line in the surf. reel in all slackj, see the difference?
