Subject: Re: Line handling

An old method I used in fresh seems to work well in the surf and just about anywheres. I refer it to the 4X4 strategy. Enough line out for comfort, with one hand, cast, set, induce action, stop, Pick-up and redo. 4 cast this way, take 4 steps, and repeat. One handed operation all the way, no tangles, and you can cover a lot of water fairly fast and have it well canvased. I usually fan them out and always put at least 1 back where I came from for a presentation of a diff. direction.
Is one of my favorite wading methods, but works equally as well from boat and Yak. (at least for me)
