THere are more than 7 differnt kinds of silversides and they all look kindo of alike but--
They have different habits and grow to different sizes and knowing the difference can help you pattern fish.
Same with anchovies and squid and herring and on and on.
People wnat to make it "one answer for everything," and it isn't.
You really have to teach yourself.
