Subject: Dead drifting to Bluefish

Since there isn't a bluefish board anymore this is the next best place. I was told this story last night at a fly fishing meeting and want to pass it on.
This man was fly fishing the Cape last fall and on incoming he was catch 12# blue after blue blitzing on bunker. Then the tide began to go out. No one was getting a hit. He decided to change his fly. Casted it out and let it drift and he got a hit. He kept dead drifting and catching. He then realized what was happening and he said it was the oddist thing. There were hundreds of large bluefish stationed in the trough and he would see their mouths opening and closing and letting dead bunker carnage drift into their mouths. If you stripped your fly at all, no hit.
