Subject: Tank set up... first question was.....

What would be best for water.
I learned that they sell really easy buckets
of solute that you simply fill to the line with tap...
and .... voila. instant ocean.
Well, I decided that all the samples we will get to
live in our tank, will be living well in the water
I find them in.. so...
I am hauling buckets of water from the estuary
home in the truck.
Good thing it is only a thirty gallon tank,
seven buckets or so.
I have an under gravel filter and i am going to experiment with using some
freshwater filtering techniques
to see if you really have to spend money
on fancy new things for filtration or not.
Something tells me.... not.
I will let you know how it all goes.
