Today I was driving in the pouring rain.
There was a puddle in the middle of the road.
The pothole must have been deep, and really ragged
edged, where an eddy might form under current.
I must have been drifting and zoning out as i waited
for the light to change watching the river form in front of me,
not really thinking anything in particular.
Then a car took a quick left in front of me,
to beat the light
across the " river " ...
and when the back wheel of the car hit that pothole
there was a splash..... And then a backsplash.
it startled me out of my trance.
I recognized the feeling in my gut immediately.
It looked EXACTLY like when a nice fish breaks
the water,
I was almost there for a second...
Then I snapped out of it and drove off to work.
I laughed.
I REALLY REALLY need those moons to go by..
I have to fish.
