Thanks, I'll keep those tips in mind.

Another trick we learned was to use curly tail grubs in a horizontal presentation when bass are hitting the surface, like around bridges and shadow lines. We'll use a 4 or 5 inch grub on an 1/8 oz. jig or even better just an offset worm hook w/ no weight. That was the ticket on our last trip. Steady retrive to keep the bait high, cross or down current worked best.

I'm expecting this to work around worm and shrimp hatches.
