I was just checking out the posts on here during work, and I hit upon these post about drifting small stuff into a stripers feeding zone. The resaon I'm trying this is because I know swinging a bucktail among the rips is deadly(only if you know what your doing), but them I mark schools of fish on the machine, and can't catch one. Then I drop done a live bait, and bam one after another, mostly 25 to 35 lb stripers. Now, I want to firgure out how to get them on a spinning rod on a artifical. So maybe when this wind dies off, I will go to this spot, mark some fish, anchor to the side of them and swing what I hope is dinner for them. One question, the current rips pretty good here, and I have a hard time making a long enough cast for the jig to get down deep enough before it's already skipping behind the boat, so maybe I should pull the anchor and drift.......
