It is hard to find them with good hooks. Drop shot them (hang a split shot off a dropper or a slinky) with a longish leader 6' to 12' to the jig (so they float up in strong current.) with grubs etc. It is a good deep presentation method with small baits and light line.
You can bounce along the bottom with light gear and do very well once you get the right weight and drift.
