You can put corkies on the leder and even spin and glows above a straight hooked grub or worm or paddle tail grub. That accomplises the same thing, sometimes.
Flies also work "Pissa."
G.P.'s Rays flies and even big flatwings with heavier tippets or leaders.
The weight is added - not in the lure but on the drop-per shot.
That gives you a lot of choice options.
It is not Jig fishing nor can you use a Clouser with this method.
It is, "Drift fishing," not Jig fishing.
