Subject: Livelined sandeel on the flats? |

Has anyone tried this?
A friend of mine mentioned the idea a while ago and I've been thinking of giving it a try from the kayak.
Many times when paddling into a stiff breeze I'll spot a good fish on the flats but by the time I've got the flyrod set to go, either the fish is gone or the yak has moved out of position. With a light spinrod setup I could get a shot off very quickly.
I'd be interested in hearing any other finesse tactics with the spin rod that might be applied in this situation.
