I wonder how it came to be applied to salmon fishing?
Maybe one of the better known gillies on the Tay was also a plasterwork craftsman back in Tudor times?
A lot of the work from those days can still be seen on 16th century buildings across the UK. Somehow it closes the circle on Finesse rather nicely - at least, I think it does :)
