Took my annual vacation to the Adirondack Mountains from 8/1 - 8/15. Focused on finesse fishing for bass, working the edges of weed beds and lily pads. Turned out to be tons of fun and very productive. Developed the approach of staring out with short casts and the following ones would become progressively longer. I was amazed how many bass could be packed in to the edge of a lily pad bed! Turned out the bait of preference was a 6" sluggo, unweighted, fished very slowly. . Toss it out, let it sink, twitch..., sink. twitch, pause, twitch, twitch... The line would just start moving. Never feel the take. reel tight, feel the weight of the fish, set the hook, water would explode! Awesome Stuff!
