I personally love it when the fish will only hit stationary plugs. It is a wonderful thing. Even if there is a crowd of people fishing next to you, you will be the only one catching fish and you can tell them when they ask what you are doing and show them but cranking and yanking and moving the plug are so ingrained that you wll continue to be the only one catching fish and lots of them too.
Hooking them is an art unto itself and takes a long time to master. Actually it is one of the most productive ways to fish a plug overall and it is a different order entirely than what people will accept.
