Several years ago, I was watching the tube and saw this infomercial for a soft bait called the Banjo Minnow. Looked interesting, but I didn't think a lot about them one way or the other. A few weeks later, I was at Wally-World, or some place like that, stocking up on lures for my annual trek to the Adirondack Mountains. And there, on sale, the Banjo Minnow kit! I figured, what the heck... I bought the kit....
Let me tell you, I never caught so many bass as I did that summer. Big ones, little ones, fat ones, skinny ones. I was a Pro! Some times, I caught 5, 6, 7 bass in a row! NO, it wasn't spawning season. I had this place licked!
Went back next summer, and I couldn't buy a strike on them! I finally tucked them in the back corner of my tackle box and there they've sat....
I never quite figured out what the deal was with them. Other than they'd never seen them before. But last summer, I got into a streak with 6" Sluggos. 5 to 7 pounders. SooooOOOO.... Maaaaybe, this summer I'll have to dust those old Banjo minnows off and give them another go....
