I had written something and it disappeared and in its place a fly. The essence was this, a large part of fly fishing has to do with respecting all living things and to understand their part in the big picture. I had read some very disturbing fishing reports recently by bait fisherman suggest a desire kill cormorants because they were eating all the bunker in a creek in no time flat. They refrained only because the bird is federaly protected. Unfortunately, one of the participants was someone who contacted me in the past about learning to fly fish. I suppose lesson one for him would be to learn to respect the cormorant for he will show you where the fish are.
