I've found similar scenairios with the silversides where I live. Spawning time I guess. Hummm...July moon...I'll have to remember that. Haven't noticed the water temp as an issue though. Lots of fish way up in very toasty water at night. The only problem I seem to have is getting the presentation/offering right. These fish have been very abundant but very picky which I presume is the result of the overwhelming amount of bait. After some recent revelations, I'm not sure that water temp is such a significant factor when the forage is abundant. I think the bass would walk across the coals for an easy meal. And as far as the peanuts go... it's already begun. Good luck Mark and try going late, really late :).
