Many nights I just like to watch. Gear stays in the truck and my only tools present are my flashlight and my mind.
I have tried to make it a habit to do so even want I want to catch these fish. With no pole I cannot blindly throw my plug or fly.
I am forced to sit and pay attention. I can plot my course of action and plan for success or failure.
I have learned a lot from these fish in how they move and how they act. Their patterns are very predictable and very unpredictable at the same time.
Why did she rise upon the smaller shrimp but not the larger one???
Why will she hit my plug but yet at the same time let all the silver sides pass over her head???
Many questions reveal themselves as well as answer themselves at these little spots....
