I've never understood it either. I took a friend to fish a spot this Spring. We caught quite a few fish, and he refuses to go back. Too dark. More people than we might think aren't comfortable outdoors at night. I guess it is a shame. Although it does mean more fish for us. Very soon the Beverly shoreline will be on fire. Hundreds of birds. Thousands(?) of blitzing fish. And yes, dozens of afterwork boats. When the sun dips below the horizon, the schoolie fiesta ends. Everyone of those boats then head for home. They miss so much! The night fishing on nearby structure after an evening of blitzes is fantastic. In my mind second only to June nights on Joppa. I'm referring to large fish. Not the schoolies that make up most of blitz fishing. What a shame.
