I'm at the point now where I can't fish well in the daylight. On the boat I can do it, on the dirt, I can't. I don't have the same sense of adventure, and I rely on my eyes too much in the daylight. At night, I smell, and listen, and I'm still and all my focus is on senses other than sight (so much so, that I practically convulse when something happens like a fish breaking close or a bright light or someone that I haven't noticed speaks to me). I'd be happy lying all day on the soil of my native land waiting for the sun to go down. And if I don't go I always wonder, what's going on tonight??
