Some people have a problem when they fish with different specialty lines and certain types of flies when they are fishing in rocky places like Point Judith. Sometimes they even lose whole lines to the rocks and the waves. Those little filiment thingys are an answer for some folks but not for everybody.
This is a real problem for many people and that is why I mentioned it so there could be some thoughts about how to deal with it a few ways shared on the subject.
