I think you're talking about sandal type korkers. I didn't like that neither.Too heavy for me. I've been using the one with interchanbeable sole from KORKERS. I have no trouble climbing down to water on jetty. It fits tightly. My shoe size is 8. I'm comfortable with size 10 for this boot.But it's not cheap. Boot itself cost $130 and comes only with felt sole and rubber sole. I had to buy studded rubber sole($30). In my case after 20 hours' use on rocks, half of studs lose edge. When used on sand, sand sneaks into not only inside of boots but also slots which sole's edge locks into. But I'm gonna use this for now and waiting for ultra light sandal korkers to show up.
