Move along, yes, but fish slow. August is leisure time, both for anglers and the bass. I have found coffee leaves me a bit too energetic for this type of fishing. A glass of Riesling suits me better and sets the proper key. The fish agree.

Many fish are sipping on the smaller baits that are cruising the coastline. Filling up on appetizers if you will. Tossing the filet mignon fly has not be as effective as serving a tasty "primi" fly.
