The most important characteristic of a jig is the rate of fall. You can use a conventional jig and race it along the surface as a topwater lure. Does that mean that a jig is a topwater lure? It can be used that way for sure.
So on Jibg flies is it the weight or not the weight that is useful? Is it both? Is it either; is it neither? Is it the eyes or is it the wobble or is it just a convienience that is undefined as to necessity.
What are the advantages of differnt weights on a jig fly?
Where is the line between a weightless fly with eyes and a jig fly with weight?
What is the difference and how do you use the different weights of jig flys to yur advantage?
What situations? How do the different weights effect the presentations and act?
