Good jig fishermen swing their jigs just like fly fishermen do. The weight of them is critical. Not enough weight = no fish. To much weight; hang ups and no fish. Knowing the right weight to swing a jig in current is critical knowledge. Vertical jigging is only one technique that is used.
Thanks for your observations and insights about this type of lure. I find it very interesting indeed.
