It is in Bates' book, Stripers and Bucktails.
Is this the root traditional fly that with with a coat of epoxy or silicone painted or dipped on it became a new synthetic fly?
I think there are a couple of variations of them in that book and I know that there were others before these. I think it is interesting to see the roots of flies, even including the, "Modern man made material," flies.
It is enlightening.
