The key word here is "tapered". Synthetics are usually extruded and do
not have the nice taper to each fiber itself. Slinky Fiber is a very close
second choice since, in many long imitations, the first step can be
established with the synthetic and followed up with the easier to find
natural bucktail from that point on. The slinky fibers are very fine and
move very well in the water. Try it. I often do this with my Bucktail
Deceivers, very hard to tell since its hidden so well.
