To grow you have to break your routines and learn the fish. You cannot do that if you have routines that stop you from trying new ideas and breaking out of belief systems that keep you locked into your or someones else's routines.
Go bait fishing if you have to but break that jig fly routine as if your fishing life depended on it.

No, You will not catch an accidental big fish.
You are going to have to do it the old fashioned way.
Change your ways learn the traditional methods and you will catch one. I guarantee it. I have a track record of satisfaction from those who took the chance to let go of the mediocrity and learn how to fly fish.

I am the only voice out here saying this so measure that against all the rest of the modern view and I am not making a lot of noise.

I dare you jig intermediate guys to learn how to fly fish.
