Red Hot. I recently took a new co-worker who is from PA. and has only fished for trout, out to the flats last week. He was absolutley amazed at the massive number of fish busting bait all around us for hours. Like most people who are new to something he only knew what he has read about salt water fly fishing. Being an experienced trout angler I knew he would have no problem catching these fish. He was also amazed at the tackle, 10 1/2' rod, floating line and multiple flies, oh and the dip net, he wasn't ready for that one. With all the excitement of the breaking fish he was trying way to hard at first, and I kept telling him your just dead drifting a dry fly. Once he calmed down he took fish on most casts and even had a few doubles. While the fish were not huge thier were lots of them but they were fussy and would not touch a fly that was not dead drifted. With all the thousands of 1 to 2" bait fish in the water the G.P. was the go to fly, they could not stay off it.When we were done fishing he told me that was the best experience he has ever had fishing with a fly rod. We are very lucky here in RI
