Ive been fishing in a cove in New London. Fishing the flats of the feed to some salt ponds. Fished there five times in two weeks caught fish every time, even in the middle of the day. It is really fun to see a cruising fish, cast ahead, wait, twitch the fly and watch him hammer it! Of course sometimes they don't hammer it they just follow and make you pay :). I was fishing with my 7wt and had a fish take me into the backing in just a few seconds, the transition from stalking to a violent run was fantastic. As soon has he felt the line, it was like he realized "I screwed up" and exploded down current. Once he finally tired I could not pull him against the flow and had to walk to him. He got off before I could get to him which is just as well. It has become an obsession, Ive slipped out of work twice and have dreamed about looking for shadows on the flats.
Ill share the location but it will cost you a cup of coffee ;)
