Nick, the truth is, I don't know. But I did land him. The situations may not be comparable. The first fish ran down a heavy inflowing tide and basically wedged into it when he got tired and I could not turn him back towards me. The second fish ran across the inlet to the other bank and I was able to turned him up current, which made it easier to bring him in.
I cant say the first fish was bigger but he seemed much more determined and was more violent right after the take.
