My kayak is extremely stable and I can stand and cast without hesitation. I broke my glasses on my last trip to the boat launch, but I could still see stripers fairly well. With glasses on and standing up, I should be all set for some outstanding site fishing. Ken likens it to chasing seagulls but I just know it gives me an enormous rush.
What are your favorite flies for the flats. I will be fishing Joppa, but any fly you like on a flat is worth sharing.
I like the L&L, and I like Gartside's Gurgler, the original in all white.
Anyone have advice for Joppa in particular with regards to flies right now. All the reports both written and verbal tell me I can't catch them during the day right now. That statement, like most every common fishing fact or rule, is a bunch of BS.
