We done good! My 15 year old daughter and I took the canoe (15' Scanoe with 5hp Honda) down the Seekonk River a ways and each caught a couple schoolies on our 7 weights. She even caught what was probably a 30" striper, but she didn't bother measuring before releasing it.
I was born in Manitoba and raised in Minnesota, so there ain't no tradition in this old retired sailor about going out on RI trout opener and "enjoying" the crowds. Not meant as a put down of any sort, it's just that I like my fishing to be relaxing. I'm sure trout are on my plate in the next couple days.
