hi ive got a good knoegle of trout fishing in ri ponds.fist wait till september then wait till winters over. and in july the trout go out to deep holes and use a 6 poind flourocarbon line. not florocarbon coated pure 100 percent flourocarbon line.with a half once slideing sinker.and a number 4 saltwater barrel swivel.to keep the sinker from sliding off the line next use a 10 pound flourocarbon.leader matriel about 6 to 8 inches long followed. by a number 10 gamatasu abeerdeen trout hook.the only place you can order thses hooks is meltzers bait shop in garfeild new jersy.and when its a liitle warm still like september use berkly magnum floating power eggs. use a sewing needle and thred on 9 magnum. berkly floating power eggs and also use a .super meal worm just under the magnum floating power eggs.then tie on your hook and also every time after you bait your hook. take a hook sharpner and run the hook over it. cabals sells hook shapners they have a web site.the manuale one is better you can sharpen smaller sized hooks.and when thers a chill in the air you can use. small marsmellows put 4or 5 on your hook first.put a supper meal worm on your line then put 4 or 5 marsmellows on your line.and alsays leve your hook uncoved this will help you to get the trout. if its coverd the trout will have a good chance.of not getting hooked and a sharp hook is good to have it helps to incress the chances of .hooking a trout and its good to buy brite colored berkly magnum floating power eegs.you can find green berkly magnum floating power eggs at big bear sporting goods.in greenville mayby i forgot the town there in the phone book.in ri and meltzers baitshop in garfeild new jersy sells berkly magnum floating power eggs.and regal reptiles in providence is were you can get the biggest quanity for the lowest. price of supper mealworms in ri there in the phone book.and with the marsh mellows they melt you keep kecking them and keep replacing them.while the supper meal worm is on top. and you need a rod holder i bought a 6 or 9 foot black eleticl.pipe sawed it down sanded it and put some plastic paint on it. and hammer it in the ground. thiner plastic and pvc pipe alsways breaks when you hammer it in the ground. and you put your rod in the holder after you cast out.and keep your drag a little.loose and watch for the line to go out then you gess when. to lift the rod over your head and start reeling in.and you sqweez the marshmellows with 8 9 inch needle nose plires.and carefully dont break the thin hooks.in the summer out here in ri ponds the trout go out to deep water.they try to survive the hot summer.some live some die then in september they come into the shore agin.trout are a cold water fish they are active in the cold weather.and the big trout come to you into the shore.when its cool and a slite chill like 40 degress.outside this is only to try and give anyone who wants.to fish for trout in ri ponds some ideas.i have a bit more ideas yet its to complacated to explaine.on this theard id have to show some one in person to explaine.in fine detail the rest of my ideas .i hope this information can be of help to some one who likes trout.bye for now shileycats@aol.com ps try lincon woods the beach. when its open to fishing i had good sucsee there.
