In truth I am as far from a minimalist as you can get when it comes to flies. The rest of the stuff I am the utmost minimalist. Don't own either a vest or a landing net. I use a small fanny pack and release fish while they are still in the water.

I have a million flies b/c I find them all interesting and love to switch flies a million times while fishing to see what it takes to make a fish take a certain fly. Call me crazy but I think it is fun.
