If you go down 24 towards Newport until it ends it will become 114. Continue south for about 2-3 miles and you will come to dunkin donuts, take a right at the light at that intersection. Go down that rd for about half a mile, you will see military housing, at the end of the neighborhood there is a right hand turn, and i believe there is a sign that says something like mellville campground or something. (if you go down a hill that curves to the right you have gone too far) Drive down that rd until it ends at a T, it's not even a half mile. At the T take a right, 100 yards down the pond will be on your right, there is another pond, but don't waist your time looking for it, they didn't stock it this year. As for baits, the fly that I have seen the best results on were all wooly buggers, and most bait has been power bait, but I've seen a few nice fish on worms. Good luck!
